Recruiting/Staffing firms in NYC?

Currently job hunting in NYC and have been told lots of shops (especially larger ones) like to use recruiting/staffing firms to fill rolls. I was hoping for some feedback into any firms people have had luck with? Thanks in advance.

edit: 2018 grad with 2.5 years of BB CRE balance sheet lending in Chicago. Looking for entry level roles. Trying to make the jump to equity (ideally acquisitions).

What rank/level are you looking at? At lower levels, those jobs still get posted on linkedin/indeed (and company website) even if the search is run by an outside firm (think of it as outsourced HR). Glocap is one NYC centric firm that does a lot of those.

If you are more senior, then the big names of HH all play in NYC, Ferguson Partners, Korn Ferry, etc. are the big ones. There are also some RE centric ones like Rhodes, Shine Associates, etc. that may be worth talking to at various ranks. Google real estate recruiter list from Real Estate Alert, they published a long list about a year ago.

2018 grad with 2.5 years experience at BB bank in CRE balance sheet lending. Looking to pivot to equity at the entry level. I've seen some postings (understand job market is slow right now) but figured I would have a better shot going through recruiter opposed to linkedin/indeed application. I'll be sure to look into those firms as well as the list from RE alert-appreciate the help.

I see Shelby Downs is now at Rhodes. I guess she's now wasting people's time there than prior at Barach Group.

LMAOOOO this is too f*ckin true! I've had her ghost me multiple times on positions SHE reached out for.

Dunlevy is a partner at Rhodes too and I've only talked to him once and it was recent...looking like another ghosting situation.
