Reit to Repe path?

Was wondering if that's a path that somebody can go on. Wanted to add the position I hold at the reit is a mix of asset management, development/redevelopment and some acquisitions underwriting. Is there anything outside of this that may bolster the likelihood of making this lateral down the road such as a CFA or MBA? Anyone here made this move and what did it look like for you? Thanks

maybe your firm gets bought and it just happens automatically lol....

Kinda curious what you mean by "repe" in the context of this question (like do you mean just the so called world of BX, SW, KKR types?). Surely you aren't thinking that working at a REIT somehow makes your exp. only relevant if the firm is publicly traded? You should be able to move within the sector/field you are working in as well as the next as an exp. hire; and can "jump" around as many do otherwise.

Maybe I'm missing what you really mean here.....

Thanks for the reply. I don’t mean any of the MF’s you listed. I’m in southwest region, and I’m thinking more in the middle market realm of firms if that helps
