Rent Roll Question

So i just started a new job and was hoping to get some help on how to sort a RR.

so for multifamily i won’t usually have a unit mix breakdown and will have to hand sort which units are 1x1, open 1x1, 2x1, etc. but each unit has a weird code or maybe some have the type but others don’t. how would you go about sorting this? by SF?

this is an amateur question but would appreciate some guidance. thanks!

Usually try to sort mine by type (so all 1BRs, all 2BRs, etc.) and then by floor plan (A1, A2, A3, etc.) from smallest to largest.

Property’s website - match unit type name or SF. Check alt sources like apartments.com, etc. Last resort just ask the owner to verify which name/code is which.
