REPE Asset Management -> What’s next?
Hi all-
I’m currently in an asset management group for a real estate private equity firm (AUM > $50M) and am looking to transition to an acquisitions role at a similar sized firm. Any insight or suggestions on how to land gigs at Starwood/Carlyle/BX style places?
I'm confused. $50M AUM is like 1 property. The firms you mentioned are all $20B+ AUM. BX is $100B+.
It's gotta be a fund that specializes in trailer parks
$50MM AUM is likely $750,000 in asset management fees. There's absolutely no way that is enough to even cover overhead.
Sorry all - I meant $50Bn AUM. Typo!
The likes of BX/Starwood/Carlyle don't hire people who make such silly mistakes.
