Could someone please explain the differences between a REPE company and a vertically integrated Operator? Are there REPE companies who both manage and operate funds (i.e. Tishman Speyer, Divco West, Gaw)? How are these different from traditional REPE firms(i.e. Westbrook, Angelo Gordon)? Really appreciate your answers.
