Any strong institutional REPE shops that people have heard of that have a presence in Dubai or Mumbai. I know Apollo has a Mumbai office and blackstone has investment professionals in Dubai I think?
Do any other larger shops with a global presence have offices in either of these cities? Any insight on culture/comp in these cities within REPE?

Many players have a strong presence in India, but what do they actually do there? My guess is that most of them (not all of them, ofc) are "support" roles (e.g. portfolio management) for the EU/USA markets.

Very little REPE in India. Most of the RE development/acq shops are done by local family offices/HNW individuals in those markets. Theres very little outside players. I believe the reason is because its harder for larger international firms to invest due to restrictions. I think Modi's govt is loosening those restrictions a bit, but its not that easy yet.
