REPE in Miami
Wanted to get a sense of REPE shops that have their investment teams in Miami. Know that there are a couple of firms like Starwood but want more info on what their presence is like there.

Miami> NYC. Better vibes to work Finance with palm trees and warmer weather.
Miami has a few REPE firms but NYC, TX or CA has a lot more to offer. If you can get into Starwood or similar, then by any means move there
Starwood REPE is in NYC, Greenwich, SF, DC, Atlanta. No Miami REPE folks as far as I know. Starwood Property Trust on the other hand has a big office. But totally different business.
There are just not that many REPE shops in miami proper. Some in Boca, Palm beach, etc. But the institutional REPE scene is just not there yet. When it is there, I'll be there for sure
All agreed just one thing, Starwood Capital is out of Miami too but its their hotel division, the rest of the REPE my understanding is NYC and London.
