Anyone aware what the going rate is for new VPs at mega-funds or even smaller funds (upper hundred million to low billions in size) that pay top of street? I've heard 500-600 cash (salary anywhere from 150-250 of that) and 1-2mm DAW in carry. Can anyone speak to this?

This seems very low for MF. I have friends in MM REPE making $500k all as VP
How does DAW* translate to actual comp? $2.5mm sounds high for a REPE VP even if you spread that out over the 6-8 year life fund
* I just learned this abbreviation, it means dollars at work. Fund Size * Carry % * your % or Carry
Anyone else come to these threads and think, "holy fucking shit I'm underpaid"?
