REPE Technicals

Hello All -

Would anyone happen to have or know of any websites or resources I can utilitize to get up to speed on technical skills I will need for REPE acquisition roles? I am attempting to make the jump from debt to equity and have realized the metrics and thought process differs on the equity side.

Thanks in advance.

You gotta know argus, you can go get certified, and you gotta know how to do an equity model w/ waterfall which is probably more in-depth than a lender model I assume you're currently working with. Go back into the war room of some prior deals you've seen and you should be able to find a few borrower models saved down that will help you learn the equity side. Some models will be better than others and I've often found the simpler the model the better & more accurate (and usually the more sophisticated the sponsor). Massive models with a million tabs usually come from unsophisticated sponsors that aren't smart enough to condense the model into fewer lines/tabs.
