Resume Criticism/Feedback Request

Hey guys,

I posted this in the Job section, but because my experience and aspirations are in real estate, I figured I'd post here as well (hope that's not a problem). I'm graduating from school in December (I transferred which set me back a semester) and I'm going to be recruiting for full time in the fall with the hopes of landing a job in investment sales, debt placement (HFF/Eastdil type of shop), real estate banking, or another related position either in LA or NYC. I want to get my resume polished before I start networking/applying to jobs so I would love any constructive criticism/feedback any of you may have to give me. I'll post a link to my resume here. Thanks guys.

I don't want to get too in depth because resume review is a paid service here, but

  • "Modeling" is spelled with one L. You spell it with 1 and 2.

  • You have ARGUS listed twice, once as ARGUS and once as Argus. Also, having "Modeling" separate from skills is odd.

  • At some point you mention a "ground up redevelopment plan." Usually it isn't both.

The separate modelling section is how the WSO format has it but I'll make the changes, much appreciated. Should've caught the spelling mistake earlier

Actually modeling can be spelled with one or two "L"s.

I think the convention in the States is one, but I don't think I'd ding someone for using an alternate spelling, just like I wouldn't fault someone for using "grey" instead of "gray" despite the latter being the more commonly accepted spelling in the US.

Interesting. Either way, I'd keep it consistent when on the same resume (and in back to back lines)
