RXR in NYC - Culture/Comps/Reputation

Humans of WSO. Could you please share some insights you may have regarding RXR? I'd be curious to know what it's like to work there and how folks perceive them. Salary insights would be helpful as well.

Associates are probably around $175-250K all in. VP’s are probably $300K-$400K. Assumed you are on acquisitions side of investment management. If it’s asset management, take 20% off those #’s. Also, the VP title at RXR could easily be a senior associate role at other shops. They have FVP and SVP roles that are more senior. FVP is probably more apples to apples with VP at other major shops.

Above is correct, they fall under the “typical NYC RE” vibe firm. Brand name, great projects, very long hours, but underpay.

They are job title pushers as well. They promote within very often but the pay sucks. I don’t know why they do this but you’ll see tons of people with VP titles that would really be a Senior Associate at best at most shops. At least that’s what I have heard from people who have worked there.
