Not an easy place to work at but you will get a chance to work on some high profile deals . Long hours, not so good pay. They seem to have a lot of open positions right now…the long hours and low pay combo is not so great in a tight job market.
They have a VP role on the investment management team. I know it's a shot in the dark but any insight on comp there?
Associates are probably around $175-250K all in. VP’s are probably $300K-$400K. Assumed you are on acquisitions side of investment management. If it’s asset management, take 20% off those #’s. Also, the VP title at RXR could easily be a senior associate role at other shops. They have FVP and SVP roles that are more senior. FVP is probably more apples to apples with VP at other major shops.
They have an associate role listed on their website at a base of $100-120k. I doubt all in is north of $150k.
Above is correct, they fall under the “typical NYC RE” vibe firm. Brand name, great projects, very long hours, but underpay.
They are job title pushers as well. They promote within very often but the pay sucks. I don’t know why they do this but you’ll see tons of people with VP titles that would really be a Senior Associate at best at most shops. At least that’s what I have heard from people who have worked there.
Are there any other firms with the same status and business model strictly on NY Office but with decent pay for the hours?
