Ryan Companies - anyone know them?

Has anyone worked with Ryan Companies? Thoughts on what their culture is like? They seem to do a little bit of everything as far as types of assets, and also do in-house design and project management.

Have not worked with them, but their HQ is in my hometown and they have done a lot of projects there in Minneapolis. You are right as they do a bit of everything, but I think their main focus is construction/development, along with architecture/design. You should check out their website and see their completed projects. They essentially revitalized the east side section of downtown Minneapolis, built the Oracle campus in Austin, TX, and a class A warehouse for Amazon south of the twin cities, plus a ton others.

Being based in the midwest, I assume their culture is typical of the region. Smart, hardworking people who will treat you more kindly as opposed to say Related in NYC. They are very well-respected in the midwest region and they have additional offices in the south and west. Given that, I still think they are a notable construction firm and developer with a semi-national presence.

They have a great culture, and good sized industrial, senior housing and medical office development arms, plus do cool mixed use deals versus pre-recession when they did a lot more Target anchored shopping centers.

They also are the master developer for the 100+ acre Ford site in St Paul, which will be a cool development when it is built out.

Used to work there. PM for detail. GC first, developer second culture. Good people for the most part. Focused on design built given their in house GC arm.
