Sculptor Capital Management Real Estate - 2026

Incoming REGAL IB analyst interested in Sculptor. Think the non-traditional investing they do is interesting and seems like a solid shop. Saw the fund raising for the latest RE fund was good as well

Any other insights on the group? Culture / comp / other info?

Differentiated strategy that is doing very well (high returns). As a result, they are killing fundraising while many other shops are struggling. Very technical group. Culture can be tough (not much camaraderie). Pay is top of RE (An1s clearing 200k+, scales from there).

Very strong performance. Top of market comp (in-line with MF corporate PE) for Principal and below (don’t have senior data points). I’ve heard mixed things about culture, but generally better than Apollo, BX, etc. They have a lot of people that work up from analyst (first job out of college), so don’t think you have as much of the hardcore grind mentality that carries over from IB or other bad culture PE shops.
