Second Interview Excel Test

Alright guys, just got a second round interview for a large Mortgage Banking operation in Manhattan. The company primarily does Agency deals, with a little life co and CMBS. I should mention the focus of this group is Multi-Family and Senior Housing.

I was told there will be a writing and excel test. The writing test I'm sure will be a breeze, but I'm unsure of what will be on the excel test. I have 2.5 years of underwriting experience for all of the four big asset types. Therefore, I don't think this should be an issue.

Just curious if any of you guys who work in Multi-Family might know what would be on such an excel test.

As always, any help is appreciated.

Beware. I once took an excel test at a boutique firm that featured many tedious basic excel functions. Because it was timed(and if you dont use VLOOKUP on a daily basis, it WILL take more than 2 seconds), I figured I would complete the tabs that actually had valuation/finance exercises first.

They told me after that no one has ever finished the test, even at the firm, so it ended up working out in my favor.

One question may not win or lose you the gig, but it will definitively give you a greater deal of confidence going into further rounds of interviewing. That is where the game gets joooocy mate.
