Should I disclose that my significant other works for a competitor.
My significant other and I both work in repe. We live together and will likely get engaged in the coming months.
I’m applying to firms, one of which invests in a product type that my significant other focuses on. Is this something I need to disclose if I get an offer? Could this become a potential issue that would result in a rescinded offer?
Thanks for any help.
No need to disclose it in interviews. It won’t stop you from getting a job. The only place it may come up is in trading disclosures where you list that your significant other works for a fund. Note: notice how I’m not telling you to disclose it’s a competitor. It’s irrelevant.
