Software ER at Top Group/BB -> RE (What Opps Do I have)

Software ER Associate at a top ranked team at JPM/MS. Decided that RE is forsure what I want to do long-term, but honestly not sure what exits I would have for transitioning into RE.

(1) What opportunities would even be available to me?

(2) Let's say I have the prerequisite WE/Stats to get a top MBA, what RE options would I then be able to have?

Thank you very much,

ER Associate

My opinion would be: try to lateral internally to your firms REIB group and then exit to REPE. How many years of experience do you have? If you have 2-3, then this is your best option.

Most of the post MBA RE people I have met had RE experience prior. Exception being those who go into REIB post MBA. The Post MBA repe spots are pretty competitive, so not having prior RE experience would likely hurt.
