Starwood Capital Group Summer Acquisitions Analyst First Round

Anybody who has been through Starwood's SA recruiting process for the acquisitions team, what sort of questions are asked during a first round phone interview? Is it more technical or behavioral...do they ask brain teasers? Thanks in advance for any help.

Found this on Glassdoor. It was under the description of an interview for "Asset Management Analyst", but I'm not entirely sure if it was for the full-time position or they left out the summer part.

"Word on the street has it that (1) Starwood only hires from Ivies (almost exclusively from Wharton), (2) their college hiring process is done primarily through a third party agency, and (3) that recruiter gets paid per interview. Please keep these in mind.

The recruiter contacted me to set up a video interview (I am not from an Ivy). She is very warm and easy to talk to; however, I became suspicious after she only asked me one question during the entirety of the interview (roughly 45 minutes). The remainder of the time was her chatting about the company.

A few kids from my school had the same experience as me, and we all concurred that we were just an extra commission check for the recruiting agency. I haven't heard back, but from the interviewees I've spoken to she doesn't check back in unless she wants you to move to the next round, which is a super day at their Greenwich headquarters. I'm not upset about this situation since I wasn't keen on the position/location, but I wanted to put this out there for those of you who are."

Is this true? If we haven't heard back yet does that mean we're done? The recruiter told me that final rounds would take place in late October but still haven't heard anything.

Starwood final super days for summer acquisitions analyst are this coming Friday and the following Friday (11/11)...Told this by my first round interviewer
