Starwood REIT
Any thoughts on why STWD is doing horribly? They have a 10% dividend and from what i understand, very strong balance sheet.
Anyone work in this space, and have any insight on why they are so heavily discounted, while other equities are booming, and even other blue chip REITs in similar spaces are doing pretty well with very little dividend? ...
It seems like occupancies, Rev growth, etc should be baked in today, and cap rates/interest rates remain low; so why are REITs not recovering, while private RE markets are gangbusters?
Saying REITs are all getting hammered because Starwood is is too general imo. For instance, industrial, data center, and tower reits have been on an absolute tear with COVID.
