The MD of a brokerage wants to help me in. What can I do (etiquette/persistence-wise) to get in the door?
What are some tactics you'd recommend for sizable companies where you know there's gotta be some opportunity if you push.
For example:
I'm in a top-three market, was a summer intern at ~4th/5th largest brokerage. The MD there has expressed interest in helping me get a job there. I'd since been interning in acquisitions and development, and visited the office a few times to keep in touch.
I can't break into acquisition/dev, so I wrote the MD asking for advice/openings, he replied we could meet this month, I left a message expressing desire to work there.
What do I need to do now?
I need to get in touch with a team there, but should I should wait until I meet with the MD first, right?
When should I follow up?
Should I write the operations manager that I am interested in potentially working there, meeting with the MD, and ask to keep my resume on file?
Should I try writing any teams that I'm available if they have openings and attach my resume?
