Top Brokers in Multi
Our firm is starring to invest in different markets outside of TX. Do any of you know the top brokerages for multi in the following markets:
Orlando Tampa Miami / Ft Lauderdale / West Palm Beach Nashville Las Vegas Raleigh Durham Chicago
That’s what highly paid acq professionals are for. Or you can google, it’s free.
You could reach out to your brokers in your market to ask for an introduction to brokers in other markets. A number of firms are trying to position themselves as full service firms and encouraging producers to share info. If you reach out to existing contacts at shops like JLL, Eastdil, Newmark, etc you should be able to have them introduce you to brokers in other markets.
My guy; you left out CBRE, w&d, berkadia, and c&w!
CB will always be number one in my heart then jll. Eastdil SF, DC, Atl, Dallas fuck pretty hard!
All shops with great teams on the multi side in different markets.
I tend to think of JLL 1st because most of my mentors have been ex HFF guys. Have also had mentors from Eastdil and I think highly of Newmark given the platform they’ve built. Regardless though all the big shops should have good teams, just depends on the exact market.
This is an old article but search for similar (paywall notwithstanding) and go from there: https://therealdeal.com/magazine/miami-march-2020/the-top-commercial-br…
Agree with others that you should be able to figure this out yourself or have existing connections introduce you. That said, if you have access to Real Estate Alert, one of the very recent issues quite literally posted the 2024 multifamily investment sales leaders broken down by MSA & brokerage.
Any chance you want to share the rankings?
Nope
Hire me and I'll buy those assets for you.
Tampa and Orlando - Newmark and W&D.
Southeast Florida Region - CBRE, W&D and Newmark.
Nashville - Newmark and W&D.
Charlotte/Raleigh - Newmark, Northmarq, JLL and W&D.
Las Vegas - Northmarq and CBRE.
Generally every major brokerage has a presence in these markets but these typically these have been the market leaders in the institutional multifamily space the last 3-4 years at least.
Can't help on Chicago as our firm does not buy there.
Missing a big one (potentially the biggest one) for Orlando (and does Tampa)
IPA?
Not the biggest but JPM (Jamie May) is definitely a player in SW/Central Florida.
