Transitioning to CRE through an MSRE/MSRED, is it possible?

I want to break into a CRE development role and have been looking to do so through an MSRE/MSRED program. With final deadlines for the fall semester coming up in a month and a half, I need to shit or get off the pot. I'm looking into both the Georgetown and NYU programs, mainly due to wanting to be in the Northeast, no GMAT, and fairly reasonable tuition. NYU I wouldn't have housing expenses either.

My big question is, how feasible is it really to even 1.) get into these programs without a RE background 2.) use them to transition into RE and 3.) is my background even remotely competitive for one of these roles?

I'm currently a senior analyst (2 years experience) at a fortune 500 healthcare company. My role is "transactional" in the sense that I support the sales team responding to customer RFP's, new contract amendments or proposals, etc. Once they come to my team with the terms & conditions, we'll model out the full P&L 3-5 years under different scenarios, and then support them through the approval presentation and process. Since August 2019 I've solely been responsible for over $600M in deals (one $300M, one $225M, one $50M, and probably 2-3 others in the $5-10M range).

Maybe I'm being more optimistic than I should be, but I feel like my best bet would be to leverage the deal experience, contract review/negotiations I've been through, and finance background to convince a shop I want to apply it to RE. While using the MSRE to network, gain the RE knowledge, and give me an opportunity to do an internship.
