Undecided on next position after analyst in IS: D/E or straight to PE

Currently wrapping up my 1st full year as an analyst on an IS team in NYC. My group is just outside of the CB, Cushman, JLL level and had our best year by dollar volume to date. Technically my group is middle markets but we have sold several deals exceeding $75m+ in my short time here.

My eventual goal is more or less REPE acquisitions at a firm that regularly works on deals exceeding $100m+ and am unsure if my current position will get me there. As bonuses at my firm are paid annually and exceed 50% of base pay, I’m stressing as the next few months feel like the time to make a move. Would a move to an institutional IS or D/E team at a CBRE/JLL/Cushman/Newmark for a few years be worth it? Or should I just network my ass off at my current position?
