Curious if anyone has any experience with this niche asset class. I feel it will be a great play in the future as populations continue to increase and farmland becomes exponentially more expensive (at least here in America). It seems like an operator with a large operation geographically close to a large metro area could do very well offering fresher and higher quality produce with lower transportation costs.
Just a fun question.
Difficult space to make the numbers work. Building g vertical and using artificial light sources is expensive. Check out one modular VF player - Infarm - as a slightly different approach
