I work in RE lending, which is really difficult to explain. Would it be fair to say I work in REPE, if the group does both PE as well as Lending?

Why is your handle "intern in IB - gen" if you work in RE lending? And no it's not fair to say you do REPE - because you don't. You tell them you do lending. If it's a girl they won't know or care, and if it's networking, they will know what you do.

"I work in real estate lending" isn't that hard to understand.
My five year-old niece can understand what you do. You lend money to people to buy commercial buildings, it aint rocket science.
