I opened a company selling building materials. Actually it is direct sales from the factory and I make a small margin. My target is heavy hitters, e.g. multi-family developers or general contractors.
I know well about the product more than anyone but new to the sales world. Any advice?

What kind of product? Are you talking more raw materials (gyp board, CMU, etc) or more fixture-esque? For more raw materials, go directly to subs, they're the only ones who care. For fixtures, anyone between your designers-developers-asset managers-property managers will have influence. Go send them some gift baskets.
More Fixture-esque. Some heavy hitters are already using my stuff indirectly from big distributors. I guess it is all about sales and marketing. As I am 1 man company, I need a bit smart way under the penny budget.
