What is the standard raise for the first few years as an analyst?

I’m curious: is a raise gauranteed each year?

How much can be expected at the analyst level. Starting comp was $70-80k + bonus.

In Real Estate, is it structured like banking? Will I have to ask? Will it just be an inflationary raise?

$100bn RE AUM, I agree with your sentiment - but here’s the deal, we aren’t as structured. Hiring isn’t an analyst class so to say. Hiring is kind of as needed.

Analyst vary in age exp and education.

Another question I’m curious about, there’s an analyst with 3 years of experience at a different firm vs. my 6 months. Is it likely we were offered the same starting base pay or would mine have been lower (rightfully so).

Is it absurd to expect a $10,000 raise? My starting was $77,000 + bonus.

I have similar questions too. I was thinking about this question this morning actually. I am also an Analyst, REPE, $2B in Texas. I am at $65K and 15% bonus and 2% carry. This is market where I am at, maybe slightly above. I am a 2nd year analyst. My goal at the moment is to add enough value that I wont have to discuss raises/promotions. I had a head hunter ask me to apply for an acquisition manager position this morning. It was in retail and I am not qualified so I passed, but when offers that are reasonable and interesting do come along for a promotion by jumping to another shop, I think that is a good time to discuss compensation. I wont be an ass about it, I will just say, "I really like my job, I like what we are doing, I dont want to go anywhere else, but I am getting some significant offers, could we talk about compensation?" Add value or show competition, if I was an employer that is what I would be looking at to adjust compensation. Also, I try to build my brand a little bit when I can (of coarse, this only works when you have a work product in line with the image you are trying to build), I was talking with some partners the other day and we were talking about a multifamily developers 3rd party management program, before I started in my current role, I got offered a position by that company to pitch their third party management business full time, I mentioned that to the partners because it was relevant but also because it showed I was in demand.

Wow $100B AUM? AFAIK there are only two companies in the world with that, and I thought both were relatively structured. Congrats on the position.
