What to do…

I can’t tell if I’m really dumb, or reasonably forward thinking….

Too often, I’m talking about things that are 10 steps ahead of where the conversation currently is… this happens all the time. It kills me, bc sometimes I feel like I’m having an entirely different conversation with the other party, be it a colleague, a boss, a partner. I’ll get asked for something, I do it, then take it multiple steps further and then when we talk it through they’re lost in the discussion.

What am I doing wrong?

I used to have that but it’s all about being in the moment and answering on the spot but ALSO anticipating what they’ll say. Therapy and mindful meditation helped me with that

VPs that are like this are the worst, always seems like the best MDs and best analyst combos are those that both realize not everything needs to be done ASAP. They understand each other expectations and don’t waste each other’s time.

Always the middle management that gets in the way trying to make it seem like they are adding value. In reality they are assigning useless tasks when its more efficient to just wait and let all info come in sometimes.
