Who does consulting / deck building on the side?

Hi Monkeys - I lead Business Development for a family office developer on the west coast and we are working on building out our third-party management platform (property and project management business lines) after signing up a few fee development opportunities for both Multifamily and single family rebuilds (think recent fire towns) and want to update all of our decks and external documents to reflect our new initiatives. In hope of saving a ton of time, I was looking to see who out there provides consulting deck-building opportunities at an IBanking level? If anyone knows an AI software that is easy to use (like Canva but with more deck specific templates, etc), also let me know what's best.  Been a half decade since I was flexing these chops so lets see if there is newer tech or young guns to help! Thank you!

To tackle your needs effectively:

  1. Consulting/Deck-Building Services:
Based on the most helpful WSO content, many professionals with backgrounds in investment banking (IB) or management consulting offer freelance deck-building services. You can find such talent on platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork, or even within the WSO Talent Oasis, which connects employers with elite finance talent at competitive rates. These individuals often specialize in creating polished, professional decks tailored to high-level business needs.

  2. AI Software for Deck Building:
If you're looking for AI-powered tools to streamline deck creation, here are some top options:

    • Beautiful.ai: Known for its intuitive interface and smart templates designed for professional presentations.
    • Pitch: A modern tool with collaborative features and sleek templates, ideal for business decks.
    • Tome: AI-driven storytelling for presentations, offering dynamic and visually appealing slides.
    • Canva Pro: While you mentioned Canva, its Pro version includes more advanced templates and features that might suit your needs better.
  3. Young Guns for Deck Building:
If you're looking for fresh talent, consider reaching out to MBA students or recent graduates with consulting or IB experience. Many are eager to take on freelance projects to build their portfolios. WSO forums and LinkedIn groups focused on finance and consulting are great places to post such opportunities.

For a polished, IB-level deck, combining professional freelance help with tools like Beautiful.ai or Pitch could save you time while ensuring top-notch quality.

Could look up Catalant. They have consulting where you can post a gig and people can apply to work for you on it. Have only done a few pitches there but did a consulting gig from it. Could potentially put in for someone to work for you on the presentation side of things as they have a number of ex-bankers and ex-consultants on the site (from what I've gathered). Never posted a job on there to know exactly what you get though.

This is just generally updating PowerPoints or you are specifically going out to raise money w the materials? I think your cap markets broker would typically have a better idea of what to say or show in a teaser/CIM than some random guy you find online. Just my $0.02.
