Will I have to interview again?
I had a final round at a firm I like 1 month ago, but they just sent me an email that explains that due to capital raising matters, the position was put on hold and will remain so until Q1 2024. They say that they will get in touch once the position becomes active again, to check if I'm still interested in joining the firm (they did use "joining the firm").
Will I have to go through the entire interview process again?
No as more then likely that job won’t be there anymore

No real way for us to answer this one, man. We don't know what that specific firm is thinking.
I don’t know and no one else on this board will know. The job could actually open up in January and they call you and give you the job. Alternatively, they could call you and ask you to interview. They could also just not call you but still post the job. Lastly, they might not even post the job. No one on here will know.
Seen this many times over the last year= they are info poaching…. They aren’t serious about hiring.
did they have you do a case study or ask you very specific questions about any of these: firm/strategy/capitalization/portfolio & portfolio health?
I was given a take-home case study, went through 4 rounds of interviews, and in the final interview, I did a consulting-style case (the partners have HSW/consulting backgrounds).
In all interviews we did talk about me and their firm.
