gpa is all relative. What's the school and major? A 3.9 english major out of SUNY Albany, I'd wipe my ass with that but a 3.91 engineering major from MIT I'd shake his hand.

3.9 could just as easily be a 3.86. I would put down 3.91.

^ I don't think anyone would round a 3.86 to a 3.9. But, I have seen 3.785's and the like rounding to a 3.8, for instance.
Well, there have been people that have posted in the past about rounding a 3.0 to a 3.8 so I don't see why there aren't a few people that would take a 3.86 to a 3.9, at least that is technically correct if you only go to tenths.

In all seriousness, put 3.91. As before, 3.9 could be interpreted as "this guy rounded up." Put 3.91 and if you round out at all just put 4.0.

People still list GPAs on resumes? wtf? dude you need to start listing more relevant things like MPH (an estimation of how fast you can run, do NOT round this number)....also things like TPS (texts per second), WPBV (women per bar visit....please don't include drunk women in this metric...thats like listing only a major GPA on your resume...shit is misleading).

My college lists my GPA with three decimals - and that's exactly what I put on my resume. To OP: Be as specific as possible.
Pro tip: As someone who reviews resumes, if you bring that three decimal bullshit into my house, you're not getting an interview.
