A plea for help with a CV for Spring week
Hello WSO!
I am a Fresher at a UK university and I hope to get into the Spring Week game. I know I'm a little late to the party, plus watching those other amazing CVs has been just a tad bit discouraging. Nevertheless, I intend on giving it my best shot, so I would appreciate it if you gave me some tips on how to make my CV more competitive. From what I see, the CV is quite light on Finance stuff and might be a bit more consulting-heavy, but those were the opportunities I had.

First things first, your CV is pretty impressive so far. You'll go far if you prepare well for interviews.
Feedback:
- make bullet points bigger. this is too small. try size 10/11. make sure it's consistent.
- No personal pronouns. Just say "Learned". Don't use sub-bullet points. Don't start bullet points with "Later presented"
- Intern working as a Data Analyst > consider converting to Data Analyst Intern. Easier to read.
- Ministry of Finance is brilliant experience. Don't tell them that it was mostly 4th and 5th year students. They don't have to know that. It's better if they assume you worked with grown ups. You'll end up with 3 short bullet points. As you gain experience, combine them and summarise your experience in 2 bullet points. You'll need the space.
- Say "social media" instead of "Facebook".
- Don't say "about 30%". Just say 30%. It sounds better.
- Your dashes under Languages are different. Make sure they're all consistent.
- Why do you say "experience with boxing and kick-boxing" instead of simply listing it? "Experience with" adds no value. I'd summarise it.

On a side note, how can I add attachments to WSO posts?
A better turn of the doc, but you can make your experiences sound a little more sexy/exciting. It's all about selling yourself.
Would include more action verbs and a bit more detail on some of the roles even if you have to slightly b/s what you did. Try to make the line spacing and information under each experience bullet the same. As in, keep length and formatting.
Ministry of finance is a great experience. It’s an institution and will catch eyeballs. However the description is severely lackluster. To a reader, it’ll be perceived that you did nothing and therefore cannot further elaborate on the experience.
If you were involved there’s no reason all you could come up with was those three bullets. Use the STAR (situation, task, action, result) or a variant of the method for the bullets. You don’t have to conform to the format but it’s good guidance. Describe the “various tax-related” research and explain the reports.
Guiding questions:
What are the reports used for? Were they for external or internal purposes? What was the value add? Were there insights from the research and report that led to actionable results?
If you didn’t do anything, then embellish the experience although it is controversial on this forum but I’m just trying to help you out.
Make the lines fill to the very end of the page. Two fully well written lines are better than the bullets with few words. Do this with the rest of the cv. Play around with the words to make the cv look cleaner. For example, remove “results” and just use Matura, abbreviate Maths or even CompSci, computer science and English 100th percentile. See if the academic results can done in one line if you do that. “English 100th percentile” juts out like a sore thumb.

I did my best to upgrade my CV (luckily, embellishment was unnecessary) and here's the newest version. Again, thanks for evereyone's input!
Also, I am not sure about the spacing tip. Currently, there is additional size 4 line between various points in a category and size 11 line between different categories. Does it somehow look bad?
