Avoiding ageism by removing dates of education
Hi all,
I am 27 years old and am wondering if I could scrub some information from my CV and exclude my graduation year from my CV for my undergrad and the professional degree I started (but will likely now not complete as I have landed an IB internship as an analyst).
I intend on moving to the US to the buy side ASAP - I am curious if I could scrub the dates on the education portion of my CV and remove the first job I did for a year to have my experience start with my first business-related experience in 2019, theoretically making me 2-3 years younger on paper.
I know ageism is a huge thing, especially for these early roles in finance, and I wouldn't be lying per se, rather not giving all information. I also certainly would not be lying about any of my accomplishments, and in fact, removing a year of work experience to make it appear like my work experience started at my "graduation date", without saying what my graduation date explicitly was under my education section.
