BRUTAL CV REVIEW

CV needs work, please give advice, more straight up the better.

Context: Just finished 1st year uni in UK and applying for spring weeks over summer/autumn (im doing a 4 year degree). What do you think about including camp America on there, doing it this summer.  Courses and certifications still in works.

Birmingham is top 5 for physics in UK, didnt want to go to london or oxford. Next best is Manchester or Birmingham, Manchester is too close to home and i think birmingham uni is nicer uni tbh

Interesting, I wouldn't have expected that. Unfortunately, it's a non target for finance.

As for rest of your CV, it's meh and well... Obviously incomplete. You need to make your bullets significantly more punchy. Read "My Personal Formula for a Winning Resume". It's an article on LinkedIn. Great guide on how to write bullets.

Then as for the camp America thing - very simple Q - is it better to have blank space on your CV or Camp America? I think the answer is fairly obvious.

As for what to do from here - courses and certs are great for your own knowledge. Not going to do much for your CV. You probably need to get involved in a relevant society in a meaningful way.

Alright yeah thank you for the advice. Suppose with the camp America thing i was thinking it might look less professional than the other stuff but i guess not
