Your cover letter is way too long; no one is going to read that much. I also find it surprising that you fleshed out your HS studco experience the most. Talk more about your recent finance experience in PWM, not what you did in secondary school 4/5 years ago.

 

Great feedback m56, exactly the type of stuff I was looking for. I made some changes to my resume (cut some lines from extra-curriculars, only kept the date of when I was president to look more relevant, fleshed out my PWM role more).

Any tips on where I can cut from the cover letter? Or since I just changed it myself, any feedback the wordage of my PWM internship?

 

The main problem with your cover letter is its wordiness. You use 10 words when you need 3. Briefly state who you are and that you are interested in their firm because of x and y. In the next paragraph, talk about your accomplishments (and RESULTS) in concise, but solid, detail. In the final paragraph, thank them for their time and give your contact info once more. That's it.
