Career change = intro line in resume?

Hi, I wanted to ask you guys about a couple things. First, as the title suggests, would it be a good idea to put an intro line in my resume if I have a few years of experience in a completely different field than IB/finace? I am making a career change and I am looking to secure an internship for next year.

Also, following on that subject, is it possible that recruiters and HR people might discriminate against me because of my age? for instance, if I apply for a summer analyst or intern role, and they see a whole page of past professional experience, could this actually hurt me instead of favoring me? My previous "career" left me with some good transferable skills and experience, but i don't know how this will be perceived when looking for an internship. I even thought about being considered overqualified over some 21 year old grad.

I would appreciate any help and/or advice.

Thanks.

Because I don't have any financial experience yet. I know how to talk to clients and being in a boardroom is not intimidating to me, for whatever that experience is worth. Why do you think I won't be considered? because of my age? or because I might be seen as "overqualified" (even though I never worked in finance)?

Also, forgot to mention, but I am currently an undergraduate student in a related field (Finance/Business/Economics).
