Got laid off after 3 months. Should I include it in my resume?

I'm applying for entry level roles in consulting. Looking for any feedback but curious about these points:

  1. I was let go from my last position and only worked there for three months. Should I still include it on my resume? I think they just hired more people than they needed but I don't know if I can explain that in an interview.
  2. I don't hear anything back from almost all of my applications. Is there smth wrong with my format, key words usage? I put my education first because I think it's more impressive than my work experience.
