How Do You Guys List Ongoing IB Deals

Would love some advice on how you usually list in-progress deals on your resume. I’m updating mine right now and not sure what the “unwritten rules” are when it comes to deals that aren’t closed yet.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

  • 1 deal with SPA signed (execution phase) (Havent annouced)
  • 1 in DD (highly active, buyer already very committed)
  • 1 at NBO stage (competitive process, but still pre-DD)

A few quick questions for the group:

  1. Do you include live deals, or just closed/signed ones?
  2. How do you usually phrase in-progress deals so it doesn't look misleading but still shows experience?
  3. For the NBO-stage one, is it too early to include? Or would it be okay if framed as “sell-side mandate with multiple PE bidders in second round”?
  4. Any dos/don’ts I should be aware of when listing partially-complete deals?
