How do you List Latin Honors on your Resume?

Could you tell me what is the more "standard" way of listing latin honors on one's resume?

Option 1:

Duke University
Bachelor of Science in Economics - Summa Cum Laude
Cumulative GPA: 3.9/4.0

Option 2:

Columbia University
Bachelor of Arts in Economics
Cumulative GPA: 3.9/4.0 - Summa Cum Laude

Listing Cum Laude on Resume

In general, the overall format of academic honors is not weighted as heavily as the fact that they have been earned. There are a few ways to list Latin honors on a resume:

B.S., magna cum laude, Economics

or

Bachelor of Science in Economics
Honors: Magna Cum Laude (GPA: 3.9/4.0)

Other information you can include on the Honors line are the semesters/years you were on the Dean's List, or organizations such as Phi Beta Kappa.

If your school uses "with High/Highest Honors" rather than Latin honors, use what is or will be on your diploma and don't convert them. Remember to format Latin honors in italics and lower case: cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude

I'd go with Option 2. It's related to your GPA, and not your school name. But either way, good work bud!

Only list it if you know what declension it is and can decline the noun in the singular and plural.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

I had an honors section in my Academic top section... incoming first year analyst currently, but...

Took up two lines (Honor1; Honor with really long name that people might recognize; Honor 2; etc... that format).

According to two MD-level and an Associate who had/still work on Wall Street... They don't care about what the honors are, it just is a quick "Check the box" in terms of getting that first phone interview. They don't care about the Honors or know what they mean, but they just want to see that you have been recognized for things.

I assume it matters less / not at all after your first job.

Some people might not care, but that was 3 people telling me they liked the subdued, short and simple honors section.
