How to strike a balance in CV?

Applying for SA in this cycle. I see a lot of people saying that writing on your CV about your past experienes in financial modeling (search fund/first year internship) means interviews and the technicals are harder. On the other hand, putting no experience means no interviews as you are not committed enough or just not a good enough candidate.

How should one go about this? I have decent experience but do not know every little thing about accounting. Do not really know what to write on CV. Thanks.

I'd just say - and I've received this advice having gone through my own process - that you should be prepared to talk about everything listed on your resume, no matter how small. If you put it on there, you should know it. As a senior associate once told me in an interview "anything you list on your resume can and will be used against you."
