Some of my fds at the trading desk fwd me a resume+essay and it was pretty intriguing to me. What are your thoughts?

Would you give this guy an interview? (It's not exactly recruiting season but in Tokyo, we recruit whenever.)

Dude sounds awesome, I'd at least want to talk to him and see what he's like.
DVA and was a gamer...those two things are usually exclusive as gaming ruins eye sight
His story certainly merits your attention. How on earth did he figure out how to trade statarb before graduating with a maths degree from HKU? I'd presume one needs to take a time-series course for that stuff.
I don't understand why he wouldn't go back into trading with those returns. Why jump over to equity research?

Also this guy sounds really old to be starting in an entry-level job. Gamer is irrelevant/out of place.
This dude is a legit baller. I'm still curious who he is in real life- he obviously deserves some recognition.
