Is it a good idea to include "Last 4 Semesters GPA" on resume?
Due to a variety of things including depression, my grades in the beginning of college were awful. However, I got my act together and have mostly gotten As recently (disproportionately A-'s unfortunately). However, my cumulative GPA is still only 3.2/4.0. However, my GPA for the latest 4 semesters (59.5 credits for me) is 3.6/4.0. Additionally, my major GPA is 3.8/4.0. Therefore, on my resume, my GPA is shown as:
"CGPA: 3.2/4.0|Last Four Semesters GPA: 3.6/4.0
Major GPA: 3.8/4.0"
Would it be a good idea to show my GPA like this? I believe that my CGPA does not reflect my ability, and I think that I should not be held back by the mistakes I made years ago when I've clearly improved substantially since then. A 3.2/4.0 CGPA might be misleading, and I think it would be best if I gave employers more context by showing my performance in the most latest semesters.
However, I understand that it would be highly unusual to include this on a resume. Should I keep it on there? If so, should I keep it phrased as "Last 4 Semesters GPA", or should I use a different label?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
