Questionable work experience

This is my first post. I have been lurking for a while but please be kind.

I am planning to graduate after my 5th year at a non target majoring in finance with a 3.0 GPA. I live in Socal, and long story short is when I turned 20 I opened my own highly profitable business. As some can already guess, it was a non-profit cooperative. I know the industry is kind of grey area and probably highly frowned upon in the professional world. But truth is I used a lot of knowledge and strategies that if it were in another industry would look like I actually accomplished something. Me and a partner acquired a business that was failing, got it back to profitable margins, and then sold it for a pretty penny. Now that the supreme court decision has put the future of these businesses in question, I am inclined to get back to what I started in school.

I am sitting for the CFA in June. I think I can place in bands 6-8 according to my mock test scores. I also have an internship as (pretty much) international sales at a hi-tech manufacturing company in Asia (Taiwan, Shanghai, maybe europe) for 6-12 months.

And that pretty much sums up my work experience. Now, is that something I can put on a resume? Or will I get laughed out of the building... ha ha

Its all about how you word it. I am sure your school has some sort of career guidence center - go there with your friend and talk about your experience to someone and see what advice they give
