Quick Question on how to present something on my resume
In the past, I've had success and have made a good bit of money as a Freelance Graphic Designer. One of my current clients was featured in the WSJ Tech section, the name of which I can't disclose due to an NDA. I am also doing an SA program at a middle market IB, and have been networking and making final preparations for FT recruiting.
My interest lies heavily in TMT coverage, partly due to my work as a graphic designer, in which I've worked with a lot of tech startups and internet based companies. I thought I'd list that as a short item under professional experience on my resume, especially when applying to tech specific firms / groups. In terms of spacing, it doesn't come at the expense of much else.
On the other hand, it may seem like too much of a stretch at first glance, in which case I thought about just listing it under "Interests" at the very bottom.
Any thoughts/input on how I should present it on my resume?
What's the problem about adding your experience as a graphic designer? Few people in finance have that anyways! :) If it doesn't come at the expense of anything else, just add it, especially for your given interest in TMT.
