quick question on student clubs
for resumes, it is always good to state our involvements in co-curricular activities (financial clubs etc.).
But, what if I have no relevant involvement relating to the finance field in my university years? Can I include relevant bodies from my high school days?
E.g. Vice president of The Interact Club of School XX
thanks monkeys!
What year in school are you? As a general rule of thumb, I would leave high school stuff off if you are a junior or older ... unless its an accomplishment that can carry its own weight in an interview ( and I dont think the VP of XX club makes the cut).
Do not put high school stuff on your resume just to fill space - it will more likely hurt than help.
rrrrr01 i was in year 12 then.
Thanks for the info.
I second that, leave HS stuff off the resume unless you're a freshman or sophomore.
I refuse to interview people who were part of any finance club. GET A LIFE
Was really starting to believe I was alone to think Finance isn't everything you can/shoud be passionate for...
