Recruitment marketing for search fund interns?
Hi all, just wanted to gain some insight to the recruiting practices / best practices for M&A in SEA. I recently accepted an offer from a traditional search fund with the listing title of “Investment Analyst Intern” from June to Aug / Sep.
From my conversations with previous interns, a decent chunk of the time spent will be valuation, due dilligence, memorandum drafting and of course… deal sourcing but from what I’ve heard they have a few active live deals in the later stages of the pipeline
My question is, will branding this as a “Summer Private Equity Analyst” + Firm Name (Traditional Search Fund) on my resume be scoffed at by recruiters? Will it add to the recognition or destroy credibility? Would marketing it as LMM Buyouts / SEA M&A be appropriate?
Thank you everyone in advance for the insight!
