Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some key tips for improving your resume when targeting London IB Summer Analyst 2026 positions:

  1. Standardized CV Format:

    • Ensure your CV is clean, concise, and follows a standardized format. London recruiters prefer a simple, professional layout. Avoid overcomplicating the design.
  2. Highlight Relevant Experience:

    • Include any internships, part-time roles, or projects that demonstrate your interest and skills in finance, even if they are not directly related to investment banking.
    • If you’ve worked on live deals or financial modeling, make sure to emphasize these experiences.
  3. Education:

    • Clearly state your university, degree, and expected graduation date. If you’re at a target school, this will already work in your favor.
    • Include any notable academic achievements, scholarships, or relevant coursework.
  4. Skills Section:

    • Highlight technical skills like Excel, financial modeling, or programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA) if applicable.
    • Language skills can also be a plus, especially for London roles.
  5. Networking:

    • While networking is less critical in London compared to the US, it still helps. Mention any firm-wide networking events or relevant connections you’ve made, as these can sometimes lead to referrals.
  6. Tailored Applications:

    • Customize your resume slightly for each firm, ensuring it aligns with their values and focus areas. However, don’t spend excessive time micromanaging this process.
  7. Avoid Common Pitfalls:

    • Don’t overstate your achievements or include irrelevant information. London recruiters value authenticity and clarity.
    • Ensure there are no typos or grammatical errors—attention to detail is crucial.
  8. Feedback:

    • Have your CV reviewed by multiple people, ideally those with experience in London IB recruiting. Constructive criticism will help refine your application.

If you’d like more specific advice or examples, consider sharing key sections of your resume for targeted feedback. Good luck with your applications!

solid resume. would cut up or trim up some bullet points because it sounds like you think you have an ego booster even though you think you don't. add another work experience if you can before apps open up but if you can't thats fine. In terms of extracurricular experiences, they look really good, I would say have some sort of a banking or investment-related club if LSE has any of those on there as well.

i feel like some of my bullets, esp for the IB exp are too long and slightly rambly but i feel like i was forced to make sure they lined up somewhat to the end of the page. do u think i should cut down slightly or keep as is?

Too much info cramped up together, cut 2 points that have 2 lines and increase the spacing between the lines.

Need to be easy to read.

You're doing two internships at the same time? Referring to your start-up internship.

Does LSE do 4-year degree? Or are you planning to do a master's to re-recruit summers?

Aren't you able to convert your current internship?

I think you've posted you're resume before, lot of people said to remove batman - like wtf lmao (its not that bad to include it, just that its a gamble with who's reading your CV - either its a chill guy or a stuck-up guy)
