Resume Advice - Freshman at a target school

I'm a freshman at a target school and I'm planning on sending out my resume to a few local VC's, asset management firms, and hedge funds for a summer internship. I'm not looking to get paid for this and I'm going to try to emphasize that in my cover letter. In regards to what to actually put on the resume, I have experience at a real estate fund and 2 leadership positions in college, but other than that it's all high school stuff. I did a lot in high school, so would it be better to emphasize and expand on that? Thanks for helping.
