Resume Feedback Please!!

============================================================== I have already reached out to WSO Resume Scoring Service last weekend.

But they haven't heard from the reviewer, as per Ivy, so I still haven't gotten any feedback.

That's why reaching out to the WSO community here :)

Need to send my resume to a recruiter at a BB, pronto.

Hello everyone,

Here's the link to my resume: https://www.docdroid.net/0vAByFv/cv-ib-stripped-v…

I am hoping to apply for Investment Banking Associate level roles this summer for Fall 2019 entry, both Bulge-Bracket and Boutiques.

Any qualitative feedback is greatly appreciated!!

============================================================== *** if you have a few more minutes ***

KEY questions for YOU based on this resume:

  1. Is this resume tailored towards an entry-level IB role?
  2. If you saw this resume, would you setup a follow-up call ?
  3. What can I do to maximize my chances of getting into IB in US?
  4. I'm shooting for Associate is because I've been told that I'm too senior for an analyst role and that the banks won't even look at me for an analyst program. Do you agree? (see my profile below)

I'm already networking pretty hard, reaching out to every single alum I could find and also non-alums who I could see a some sort of connection with.

Any tips or strategies..? (other than just networking)

============================================================== *** A few notes about my profile ***

I'll be 29 this year and have 4 years of work experience.

  • I don't have prior professional experience in finance, but data science/analytics and engineering + startup
  • I’m Canadian but have family in US, and looking for roles primarily in NY, but also in Texas, Chicago or west coast area.
  • I don't need company sponsorship for work visa in US.

Thanks so much guys!!
