Resume For SA

Hey guys, I just recently transferred from a non-target to Georgetown. GPA took a hit, but I'm still going strong. Have submitted maybe 5-6 apps for SA so far, with 10 more to go haha.

Take a look and give me some pointers?

Thanks, and good luck to all.

1) You need to include your prior non-target university, major, GPA. It's deceptive to only put down Georgetown.

2) I'm a bit iffy about putting poker as an interest...not sure it gives the right impression- perhaps others on WSO can comment.

3) Good work experience. Decent leadership; make sure you are more involved with Gtown's finance activities so you can start listing more experiences on that.

Good luck!!

  • I've tried including both schools, and despite the CLEARLY DELINEATED attendance dates for separate schools, HR always asks me: "so why did you choose to get a second bachelor's degree?". It really confounds me. As of right now, I've left it off of my resume. However, the fact that I transferred is a selling point that I mention in many interviews. Not trying to hide anything.

  • Also, I don't think poker really gives off a bad vibe. Haven't really ever heard of anyone encountering a problem with poker. Have you?
