Resume for S&T SA

Hi, I'm doing my applications for S&T internships right now, and I thought it would be a good idea to ask for some feedback on my resume (http://www.razume.com/documents/18225) first. All advice much appreciated

In your education section ALWAYS place your university first. In fact, I would entirely take out your high school, and place your SAT score under your university name.

  1. dont know if this is razume, but your margins should be smaller
  2. put a space before the big headings
  3. Put your university education before high school, by chronological it is meant most recent first
  4. Your Experience is actually Extracurricular activities, not work experience.
  5. Overall your CV is lacking some detail, see M&I template to see what i mean

Advice: Get some term time work experience, looks like you are interested in energy trading, it cant be too hard to network and get some unpaid work experience if you are studying in houston

Make sure you know all that stuff you learned in the seminar down cold, because you will be grilled on it.

I agree with what other ppl have said. one more thing is make sure you put in more than just a few words in your interest. for example: captain of the varsity baseball for 3 years instead of baseball. believe or not, bankers look for fun people! you want to sound interesting since bankers are bored at work all day, they want to see a potential interesting person when they read your resume

The first thing on your resume is a seminar you attended? Not very substantive....is it competitive or something?

i don't have any work experience or really any experience at all yet, so i'm limited to my investment club, volunteering, and energy trading seminar. also, i thought i should post my activities in chronological order, so that's why the seminar's first. the seminar wasn't competitive to get into, it was just a big lecture i paid for, but it was legit and taught me the fundamentals of energy trading and was attended by professionals in the field such as energy traders at the big banks and oil companies
